Kate Thorley is a world wide celebrated designer. From creating jewellery for the stars to designing medals for the Indoor Athletics Championship and trophies for the United Nations prestigious World Habitat ceremonies, Midlands based designer Kate Thorley now runs her own luxury bespoke jewellery company. Thorley studied at Birmingham’s School of Jewellery in the mid 1990’s and since then has designed for many well established companies and individuals, creating unique commissioned pieces for her clients. Awards include winning a gold medal from the Gold Virtuosi Competition fending off over 5,000 entries from 52 countries and being selected to create a Platinum Heritage collection for London based PureJewels.

"I have a passion for design, turning my creative and visual flair into stunning pieces of luxury jewellery. My customers are astute and many make the decision to select something personal and as such, much of my work is bespoke. I take on commissions to provide a unique and special jewellery service. Kate Thorley set up Nest Creates with Zoe Youngman in 2009, intent in making really special pieces of unique jewellery for interesting people. They met whilst working for the Jewellery Industry Innovation Centre and discovered that despite being chalk and cheese they had a great passion for design and their skills were complimentary, the end results were beautiful and wearable pieces of jewellery. In 2011, Kate and Zoe decided to explore different individual creative paths; Zoe left the business and Kate continued to design beautiful, bespoke rings, pendants and other jewellery / silversmithing items for her customers.
